DISTRIBUTION

This species is probably native to India, globally distributed in the Indo-Malesian region. Within India it is distributed in the Eastern Sub-Himalayan zone of West Bengal, Assam, Bihar and in the Western Ghats. This species is cultivated and naturalised throughout the tropics.
