DISTRIBUTION
|
This species is recorded in Southern India and Sri Lanka. It has also been reported in Vietnam. Within India, the species is restricted to the Western Ghats of Karnataka (Coorg, Uduppi, Dakshin and Uttar Kannada districts), Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram, Wynaad, Thrissur, Idukki and Palakkad) and Tamil Nadu (Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli and Nilgiri districts) upto an altitude of 400 metres The species is seen confined to the semi-evergreen and the wet evergreen forests.
