DISTRIBUTION

This species is globally distributed in the Indian Subcontinent. Within India, it is indigenous to Central and Penisnular India and found throughout Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and parts of Orissa. It is extensively cultivated in many parts of India.
