This species is globally distributed in the Hindukush-Himalayan region across Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma and South West China between an altitude range of 2400-4500 metres Within India, it has been recorded in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul-Spiti : Dorni), Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
