DISTRIBUTION
|
This species is endemic to Peninsular India. It has been recorded in the tropical rain forests of Western Ghats of Maharashtra (Savantwadi, Vidarbha, Mahabaleshwar, Khandala), Goa (Colem range, Anmod), Karnataka (Coorg, Chikmagalur, Uttara and Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga), Kerala and Tamil Nadu (It is reported to flourish well on the lower slopes of Nilgiri hills). It is also often planted .
